Agile

Agile enhance continuous improvement and the ability to quickly respond to change.

What

Agile is a set of values and principles for software development that promotes adaptive planning, evolutionary development, and delivery.

The Agile approach is typically implemented through specific methodologies. We chose the Spotify model because it has a number of unique features and practices designed to promote autonomy, self-organisation, and collaboration among teams.

Spotify model is designed to be scalable, flexible, and able to adapt to changes quickly, which is crucial for a company like LARUS, which operates in a rapidly changing market with a large and complex product offer.

Why

Choosing the Agile approach for software development and internal management is the right decision in terms of value for our customers because allows us to deliver working software more quickly

Agile development methodologies also emphasize collaboration between cross-functional teams, which can lead to more efficient and effective communication, and better alignment between development and business objectives

Finally, Agile development prioritizes testing and continuous integration.  It helps to catch and fix defects early in the development process, resulting in higher-quality software.

How

We have implemented our Agile approach both internally and externally through Scrum and Kanban methodologies. First of all, they enable our developers teams to break down large projects into smaller, manageable tasks. At the same time, they also empower our clients to be actively involved in the day-to-day development process, thus making sure to constantly align the project with their goals and objectives.

Our teams are organised into “tribes”, “squads,” and “chapters”:

  • A tribe is made up of several coordinated squads that work together on a common product strategy;
  • A squad is an autonomous team that works on a specific component or feature of a product;
  • A chapter is a group of individuals that share a specific expertise whose purpose is to promote cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Our Consulting, Project, Solution, Labs, Academy and R&D Tribes work in sprints, short periods of time during which specific tasks are completed and delivered. They also set regular meetings to evaluate their processes and make the adjustments needed to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
